The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board today announced that it will hold a meeting of its Investor Advisory Group on Wednesday, October 20, 2014.
Topics that the IAG will present to the Board include:
· The audit firm business model and incentives
· How to improve audit quality and the relevancy of the audit
· The relationship and role of the auditor with the audit committee
“Investors play a key role in the PCAOB’s agenda and initiatives,” said James R. Doty, PCAOB Chairman. “The IAG annual meeting gives us an opportunity to hear directly from investors about how they think the audit can be more useful and informative.”
