Reports: Brother of Suspected Newtown Shooter Is Ernst & Young Employee

Earlier today, Ryan Lanza was misidentified as the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooter. It has subsequently been learned that his younger brother, Adam Lanza, was the perpetrator. The Ridge-GlenRock Patch reports that Ryan was at work in Manhattan at Ernst & Young when the shooting occurred and that he has been questioned by Hoboken police:

Ryan Lanza and his roommate were being questioned Friday night at Hoboken Police headquarters. Neither have been charged with any crime, Hoboken Police Captain Jim Fitzsimmons said. "Ryan is in shock," a close friend, Brett Wilshe, told Patch. Lanza works at a financial company in the city, Ernst & Young, and lives in a five-story brick building on Grand Street, known as "The Metropolitan."
The Wall Street Journal's Metropolis blog has more details of the Lanza family that also mention Ryan's employment with E&Y:
Law-enforcement officials identified the suspected shooter as Adam Lanza. Officials said the alleged shooter’s mother, Nancy Lanza, was a teacher at the school, and she was believed to be among the victims. Earlier, a law-enforcement official incorrectly identified the suspect as Mr. Lanza’s brother, Ryan. […] Katie Colaneri, a 24-year-old resident of Hoboken, N.J.,  described Ryan Lanza as a gentle guy who was  devoted to his job at the Ernst & Young accounting firm. “He was a little shy, but very nice and sweet,” said Ms. Colaneri, who has known Ryan socially for over a year. Ryan graduated from Quinnipiac University and would speak about going home to see his family in Connecticut during the holidays. She said he worked long hours, sometimes traveling for his job. A representative for Ernst & Young would not comment on his employment status.
