McGladrey doesn't have a very good reputation when it comes to recruiting, mostly because they can be so enthusiastically obnoxious about it.
But this latest snafu is so awkward — even for McGladrey — that we wonder if they don't do this stuff on purpose. Guys, you need a new recruiting firm. One that, like, reads and stuff.
An Audit Associate at McGladrey shares with us that he received an InMail on LinkedIn from a recruiter yesterday, offering up a great new position at a great firm. The problem? The guy already works not only at that firm but at that very office:
I MEAN IT SAYS THE GUY'S CURRENT JOB IN BOLD RIGHT THERE ON THE TOP. How do you miss that?
Matthew's response was surprisingly professional, thanking Jake for taking the time to read his profile (*jab*) and suggesting that if this recruiter had found some trick to get him promoted to Senior Associate early, he was all ears.
