PwC Poaches a KPMG Partner and Issues a Press Release, Part VIII

An alternative title for this post would be "PwC Poaches a KPMG Partner and a Deloitte Partner and Issues a Press Release, Part I."

John Tantillo and Farah Faruqui are proud new partners in PwC's Risk Assurance Services practice; they both specialize in internal audit. Tantillo spent 27 years at KPMG prior to trading in for autumnal hues; Faruqui was at Deloitte for 18 years.

That is more impressive competitive poaching on PwC's part, especially from a PR perspective.

What's also worth noting in this otherwise standard press release is PwC's claim of 500 new hires in the risk assurance practice. According to the press release, that brings the total headcount in the group to 1,900. They also list some other notable hires to the group:

Tantillo and Faruqui are the latest to join a growing list of new strategic hires in PwC's Risk Assurance practice including Walter Smiechewicz (financial services), John Sabatini (advanced risk & compliance analytics), Aaron Weller (data privacy and protection), Tim Carless (financial services) and Dimitriy Goloborodskiy (financial services).

So guard those rock star risk assurance partners closely, top-tier firms. PwC will slay them if you haven't been showering them with the attention they deserve.
