PwC Poaches a (Former) KPMG Partner and Issues a Press Release, Part VII

As we've discussed, PwC has been on a bit of a hiring spree for partners and directors this year. Perhaps more notably is the firm's development of KPMG into its partner/director farm system. How this appears to work (PwC won't tell us) is that a young man or woman first must achieve the rank of partner or director within the House of Klynveld. Then, at just the moment when BoMo and Co. feel that he/she is "ready," that partner is "called up" by way of a professional recruiting firm or some other process that, again, we haven't been made privy to.

Some people get lucky and get the call while others remain in the accounting firm minors for their entire careers, just waiting…waiting…waiting for a call that never comes…ANYWAY! Today, we learned that a new partner on P. Dubs team – Karyl Van Tassel – took a little detour on her way to PwC from the HofK:

Prior to joining PwC, Ms. Van Tassel served as senior managing director in the FTI Consulting, Inc.'s Forensic and Litigation Consulting practice. She is also a former partner in KPMG's Forensic Dispute Advisory Services practice and was a member of the litigation and bankruptcy consulting divisions of two national accounting firms.
So it appears that FTI snagged Ms. Van Tassel briefly away but you just know PwC had their eye on this one. She really never stood a chance.
