KPMG Poaches Someone From PwC and Issues a Press Release, Part IV

In our latest installment of “Competitive Poaching From Around the World,” we travel to Scotland for some Big 4-on-Big 4 action. And it involves our favorite poaching rivalry: PwC vs. KPMG.

David Gimson

This time KPMG of the Scottish variety did a little shopping at PwC. While not a press release, here’s an excerpt from a post on Insider.co.uk (undoubtedly a press release re-write) about KPMG hiring David Gimson as the firm’s new director for its infrastructure, government, and healthcare managing consulting team.

In his new role David Gimson will focus on supporting public sector clients to improve how they use technology and data to better deliver positive outcomes.

The appointment comes at a crucial time for the sector, as it steps up to the challenges of responding to the Covid-19 pandemic and how to support and shape the recovery that will follow.

He joins from PwC where he spent the last 15 years working with a range of leading public sector clients.

Initially based in London, he moved to Glasgow in 2015 and has spent the last five years supporting clients in Scotland.

We hope Gimson got a KPMG cupcake, like those shown in the photo, during his welcome to the House of Klynveld. That logo looks delicious.
