CPAs On Demand: A New Partnership of Accountingfly and Beech Valley Solutions

Hey GC faithful, it’s Jeff Phillips CEO of Accountingfly and publishing overlord of Going Concern. One of the things we’re trying to figure out is what future CPA careers will look like. That means talking to lots of different people that work in the business.

Recently we met Brad and Josh, two former PwC employees who started a firm called Beech Valley Solutions and we think they’re onto something.

Since they left the firm as Senior Associates, they’ve been freelancing on interesting projects like helping a company go public in California, implementing the new revenue recognition standard, and building a financial reporting database for a biotech company in Miami. They realized there was a big future for them and other Big 4 alumni who wanted flexible careers, to get paid more per hour and to work on diverse projects to build their résumés.

They started recruiting consultants and have been signing new and interesting projects for their team. We were blown away by the response from CPAs looking for a change of pace.

Accountingfly is now partnering with Beech Valley Solutions to provide a freelance accounting platform designed for public accounting professionals to launch their careers as independent consultants. Brad and Josh have built the resource they wish had existed back when they left public accounting; one that allowed them to use the skills they developed to consult cutting edge companies.

In partnering with Beech Valley, Accoutingfly is now able to serve a new subset of accounting professionals: those ready to take full control of their careers as independent consultants.

You’re going to hear from Brad and Josh with posts that will focus on the independent consulting career route. I hope you enjoy them and we welcome your questions and feedback.

And yes, they are actively recruiting CPAs to staff open projects. I hope you’ll connect with them to learn about their current engagements. If you want to learn more about Beech Valley, check out their website or contact them directly to speak with them about open projects that need CPAs now. Brad and Josh respond to all inquiries within 24 hours.
