BDO Poaches a Prominent Healthcare Consultant From PwC and Issues a Press Release, Part I

Oh, how we love a good poaching expedition. Especially when a firm feels so good about their prize that they get the PR team involved.

BDO USA, LLP, one of the nation’s leading professional services organizations, announced the expansion of the firm’s Healthcare Industry consulting capabilities with the addition of Patrick D. Pilch as a Managing Director in BDO Consulting. In this role, Mr. Pilch will lead a range of strategic business advisory and restructuring services designed to assist organizations in repositioning for success through the stabilization and improvement of their operational and financial positions. These services include business strategy, business transformation, performance improvement, turnaround, interim management, and M&A advisory

Pilch is a pretty nice catch for BDO, though. Most recently, he was an MD in PwC's Healthcare Advisory Practice and Senior Director at Alvarez & Marsal prior to that and has held a number of other positions including Salomon Brothers and Peat Marwick (it was the 80s, some of you weren't around).

He has a Columbia MBA, he did study accounting and is still a member of the AICPA. The former might make some of you feel better; the latter perhaps not. Nice bag, BDO!
