PICPA Has Organized “Ask the CPA Experts” Night for Future Pennsylvania CPAs

As much as we'd like to believe we're a great resource for CPA exam candidates, it's easy for candidates to get confused by the wealth of exam information floating around out there on the Internet. While other websites and forums can be helpful for those seeking support from other candidates going through the same misery, it's always nice when candidates can get help from other, slightly more reliable sources as well.

In that vein, it looks like the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs has organized info sessions around the state for any soon-to-be studying future exam candidates with tons of questions floating around in their little heads.

During these "Ask the Experts" nights, CPA exam experts will cover what to expect on the exam, study tips and advice, requirements information and do a Q&A with attendees.

Attendees may submit questions prior to the event to [email protected] or bring questions along to the event. Afterwards, there will be a networking hour with refreshments. These events are free for all PICPA members.

Here's the November schedule:

  • Nov. 7 – Philadelphia
  • Nov. 8 – Wilkes-Barre
  • Nov. 13 – Harrisburg
  • Nov. 14 – Altoona
  • Nov. 14 – Allentown
  • Nov. 29 – Reading
  • TBD — Pittsburgh

We LOVE this idea and hope more state societies take a page from PICPA's book and offer these kinds of sessions around their state. Prepared, well-informed candidates make better CPAs after all, don't they?
