Strip Club Mogul Slash Tea Partier Sues the IRS For Targeting, Guaranteeing He Will Be Targeted

If you haven't heard of him, Selim "Sam" Zherka is just a regular ole business-owner and Tea Partier in New York who calls himself the "loudest voice" for the Tea Party in New York State. In 2008 he apparently got in trouble after he told a cop at City Hall "I pay your fu**ing salary. You shouldn't be a fu**cking cop" and refused to leave the building. No biggie though, haven't we all cussed out law enforcement officers and picked up a disorderly conduct charge or two?

Well now lawsuit-happy Sam is going after the IRS, claiming he has been unfairly targeted by the agency.

TPMMuckraker:

In the weeks since the revelation that the Internal Revenue Service inappropriately screened applications for non-profit status from conservative and Tea Party groups, numerous individuals have come forward to claim that they, too, were unfairly treated by the IRS for political reasons. Zherka is one of them.

Last week, Zherka filed a lawsuit in federal court in Manhattan against the IRS, the FBI, and three individuals (Tony Nikac, Pasquale Scarpa, and Genaro Morales) for “gross derogation of [Zherka’s] fully protectable rights under the First, Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution.”

At a press conference in New York City on Wednesday, Zherka, who owns the VIP Club and Cheetah’s Gentleman Club in Manhattan, and a free weekly newspaper called The Westchester Guardian, said the government has been carrying on a “witch hunt” against him for years.

“They’re investigating every dealing I’ve done, since the beginning of time,” Zherka said.

If there is a better way to guarantee one will be targeted by the IRS, I am pretty sure this is it.

“I was the loudest voice in the state of New York for the Tea Party movement,” Zherka told the New York Post.

“We started promoting [the Tea Party] in our newspaper,” said Zherka, owner of the free weekly Westchester Guardian. “I personally penned an article which calls [President] Obama, [Sen.] Chuck Schumer and [Rep.] Nancy Pelosi a bunch of morons.”

Zherka is seeking $20 million. Uh, pre-tax.
