Don’t Attempt to Steal a CPA Exam Study Book and Expect the Owner to Take It Lightly

Normally, this should all go without saying, but apparently not everyone knows the rules, as evidenced by a report out of Fayetteville, Arkansas:

Victor Rudsell walked out to his car on the 1900 block of North Garland Ave. Monday morning, when he saw Joshua Pry inside his car, the report says. Rudsell saw Pry wearing a pair of his sunglasses on his head.

Pry took off running when Rudsell confronted him, headed towards the gas station on Leverett Ave., the report says. Rudsell and his friends caught up with Pry and stopped him until police arrived.

Rudsell told police Pry dropped a bag while he was running. Police found a digital camera with its bag, charger and battery, a Go Pro wireless remote, a Grand Trunk hammock, a Bluetooth radio, and a CPA exam study book, the report says. Police also found an orange pill bottle containing 39 Alprazolam pills lying next to Pry, the report says.

Pry told police he was walking buy and noticed the driver door was open to the car. He told police he went and looked inside the vehicle, but didn't touch or take anything. Pry said he ran away because he was frightened when Rudsell started yelling at him.

Of course he was yelling at you! His firm probably won't reimburse him the cost to replace the book, dummy!
