Comp Watch ’13: Happy New Year, KPMG!

As we watch the hours, minutes, and seconds tick away to the shutdown of the federal government, it'd be inappropriate if we did not mention that KPMG's fiscal year also ends tonight.

Unlike the feds, everyone at the House of Klynveld will be reporting for duty tomorrow (previously arranged PTO, excepted); however, the latest comments on the compensation thread indicate that, like the feds, anxiety levels are high:

KPMGer:

How embarrassing that KPMG can't even communicate raises and bonuses to it's employees prior to them taking effect. Nothing shows how much KPMG really cares about its employees more than asking them to go to work tomorrow not knowing how much they are being compensated for that work.

B4-CPA:

Yea, no one is thrilled about how late the news is coming this year. Specially those who were promoted to Audit Sr or Mgr this year and have been working in those positions since July 1 and STILL don't know what they're going to get paid in their new positions.

Don't forget that if you need a hug, willing arms should be easy to find.
