Arthur Andersen Alumni’s Efforts at Social Media Are Making Us Sad

It was recently brought to our attention that Arthur Andersen would have been 100 years old this year. Since 2013 would have been a landmark for the firm, it's understandable that people want to rekindle the past. You know, the GLORY DAYS.

It's not difficult to stay in touch with people via LinkedIn or Facebook or Ashley Madison or whatever, but if you're looking for a more personal touch to your professional network, and you just happen to be an Andersen Alum (or wish you were), there's Andersen Alumni.

In this post from eFinancialCareers that discusses the plight of maybe-soon-to-be former SAC employees, it states what most of us already know — Andersen employees didn't have any problems finding gainful employment in the wake of their firm going down for the dirt nap, so SACsters shouldn't worry too much:

Solidarity! That's what got Andersenonians through those tough times. Unfortunately there haven't been any new discussions since 2011 but HEY! it's something! And now there's a Twitter account! And it includes this exciting message from back in April:

There haven't been any more details shared on the account but we're hoping this is some sort of exciting adventure — Andersen Burning Man?! — because someone really needs to rejuvenate this thing.
