I'll be in an MSA program in Fall'18 and while I'm looking through my options I'm wondering how important location is to networking/offers.
I live in Western Massachusetts where there are no B4 offices so I'm hoping to end up working in Boston. The program I'm looking at in Western Mass does have events for Boston firms, but would it be better to acutally study there? I'm worried about not having as much opportunity as students in Boston. I plan to study in the UMass System (State Universities) and the school closest to me is less expensive than the one in Boston & its much less expensive to live here while in school than there. Is the extra cost worth the proximity to the people I want to hire me? Or is not being near the office you want not that big of a deal?
