Primary Responsibilities for Senior Audit Accountant:

  • Lead audit, review, and compilation engagement teams
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise the various phases of A&A engagements from start to finish
  • Communicate assigned tasks to the engagement team in a manner that is clear and concise
  • Report directly to partners, principals, and managers
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable professional standards
  • Become deeply involved in our clients’ businesses
  • Identify and communicate potential or existing issues and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Develop audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk assessment and test objectives
  • Obtain and review evidence ensuring audit conclusions are valid and well-documented
  • Know and understand the firm’s policies and procedures
  • Possess technical knowledge sufficient to advise and train staff accountants

Minimum Qualifications for Senior Audit Accountant:

  • Must have 2 – 5 years’ experience in A&A at a CPA firm
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • Possess a CPA license or be on track to obtain a CPA license within one year
